It’s a well-known fact that real estate agents often don’t protect their clients on the mortgage side of the transaction—not because they don’t want to, but because they lack the education on how to do so. Many agents believe, and it’s true, that they can’t steer clients to a particular mortgage company, and they certainly don’t want their name attached to a deal that goes wrong.
But what if you could have your preferred mortgage company conduct a Mortgage Protector Review, while still giving your client the freedom to choose any lender they prefer? And you could even provide three other lender names beyond the review.
This is not only possible, but it can also elevate your status with your clients as an agent who truly protects their interests. We don’t require referrals—we want to earn them.
Below, you’ll find scripts that will help you communicate this to your clients, elevate your status, and safeguard the mortgage transaction, protecting both your clients and your time and money as the agent.
One of my agents used to close just one mortgage a year with her preferred loan officer.
It felt like a losing battle: most clients came in pre-approved with their own lender, and all she could do was suggest a few alternatives. She had no real control over the mortgage side, and too often, it turned into a guessing game.
Sometimes deals fell apart — and eventually, she called me for help.
Her question was simple:
"How can I actually protect my clients — and make sure we get the mortgage?"
At that moment, I didn’t have a perfect answer, but after a lot of thought, we built a solution — and it changed everything.
Today, she’s capturing 8 out of 10 mortgage deals instead of just one.
She stopped just "recommending" lenders — and started positioning herself as her client’s protector.
She made it clear:
"You can use any lender you want — but for your protection, my team needs to double-check it first."
She explained that if a lender missed even one small thing that could block them from buying their dream home, she wouldn’t let that happen.
With client consent, we run a Mortgage Protection Check with a soft credit pull (no score impact).
The client’s lender is never notified.
We share the key qualification details with the agent — empowering her to hold the original lender accountable for fees, rates, and approval standards.
The client still has complete freedom to choose any lender they want.
Circle Home Loans has to earn their business — not demand it.
No pressure. No surprises. Just protection.
It shifts the agent’s role from “just another advisor” to trusted protector.
It arms the agent with real data to defend their client’s best interests.
It builds trust without ever forcing a lender switch.
Plus, through Circle’s four strategic guarantees and the trusted relationship already built with the client, we naturally win the business — by earning it, not expecting it.
And now, every time her client closes with us, she also earns Circle Partner Points—marketing dollars reinvested straight into her business to help her attract even more clients.
What started as a frustration became the pivot point that transformed her entire operation.
